Rotor Point Ventures is founded by Sean Monsees who was born and raised in Queens, NY and graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2016 commissioning as an Aeromedical Evacuation Officer, or Blackhawk pilot, for the United States Army. During his military career, he had the privilege and opportunity to lead soldiers both stateside and forward deployed in Afghanistan. First serving as a forward support medical platoon leader responsible for a small team of 22 soldiers while deployed to Afghanistan. While forward deployed, he planned, resourced, and supervised the medical evacuation coverage for two separate austere sites, which directly contributed to the safe aeromedical evacuation of 32 patients from a combat zone to medical care. As his leadership developed, he became a rotary wing aviation utilization and technical expert. Those experiences offered him the opportunity and privilege to serve as an aviation maintenance commander; serving as the supervisor’s primary advisor for all inquiries in regard to the operability and utilization of his aviation fleet while leading a company of 120 soldiers. These experiences have furthered his passion for leading teams while striving to improve my leadership potential and the desire to be the key decision-maker at friction points. He understood that although he may have the operational and leadership experiences, he lacked the business background and expertise, and an MBA would be the best path to not only further his leadership portfolio but also improve his business acumen to continue to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. He believes his experiences and background created the necessary foundation to run, lead, and excel within a SMB so that he ultimately will be able to improve inefficiencies and the well-being of others while accomplishing successful outcomes working with diverse teams.
